Handcrafted Characters in Wool
Step into a soft, nostalgic world where beloved characters, playful expressions, and tiny details come to life through needle felting.
I’m Sarah, the artist behind Bookwyrm Does Needle Felting, creating handmade fibre art inspired by cartoons, comfort, and the stories that stay with us. Each piece is slowly shaped by hand, one fibre at a time, turning wool into little characters full of personality, memory, and joy.

About Bookwyrm does Needle felting
Bookwyrm Does Needle Felting began as a personal creative outlet and slowly grew into something much more meaningful.
As someone recently diagnosed as Autistic, needle felting has become a way for me to self-regulate, rest, and express myself when the world feels overwhelming. What started as a calming hobby has become a small business built around nostalgia, softness, and the joy of characters we all grew up loving.
When you support my work, you are not only purchasing a handmade piece. You are supporting my mental health journey, my access to professional resources, and my ability to keep creating as my most authentic self.
What I Create
I make handmade fibre art pieces using needle felting, a slow and detailed process where loose wool is shaped into characters, creatures, and expressive little collectibles.
Each piece is created by hand, making every character slightly unique in its own way.

My Art
My art is playful, nostalgic, and deeply personal. I create characters that feel familiar, comforting, and full of personality.
Each piece is made slowly by hand using fibre, colour, and tiny details to capture the expression and charm of the character. No two pieces are ever exactly the same, and that is what makes handmade art so special.
